Our Story
Founded in 1995, Retki Finland has been offering outdoor gear to Finns for three decades. Over the years, Retki has grown from a one-man operation into a well-known brand trusted by consumers.

Some factories have been part of the Retki story since the beginning. Among the longest-standing products are thermos bottles, map bags, the Street backpack, and the Trek Light drink belt—items that have been in production since the 1990s.
From the very beginning, the success of the Retki brand has been driven by a relentless desire to design and manufacture innovative products and to find solutions for both leisure and professional use. Building the brand has required long-term effort, a skilled and dedicated team, and a finely tuned supply chain.
Retki product testing has taken place since the early 1990s, including on defense force camps, expeditions to Antarctica, Svalbard, and Greenland, as well as on outdoor adventures by enthusiasts throughout Finland. Retki backpack stools have earned numerous test victories over the years. Many who enjoy fishing, hunting, and hiking rely on the quality of Retki’s backpack stools.
One of the most important foundations in our product design has been user feedback, which helps us develop our products to better meet consumer needs.
Retki Today and in the Future
Since 2016, Retki Finland has been part of Blue Import BIM Oy, a Finnish company specialized in wholesale of consumer and technical products. Our headquarters is located in Kangasala, along the Lahti highway, where we design new solutions to bring joy to outdoor enthusiasts.

Ice fishing has remained one of the most popular winter outdoor activities, and we’ve recently invested in developing this product category. A great example is the Repakki—an insulated styrofoam seat box with carrying straps, specifically designed for ice fishing. It’s a direct response to feedback and improvement suggestions from consumers.
